Both the owner and house manager were wonderful, communicated well. Beautiful area, quiet, and condo had everything we needed. Beach chairs and towels. Pool was a wonderful retreat from the heat. Beach within walking distance. Great place to stay.
The condo was roomy and very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was great. No need for a car when staying here!
Large apartment with 2 well sized BRs, 2 full baths with plenty of towels, and a kitchen that has nice appliances, plenty of cookware, dishes, cups, glasses, and silverware. Well kept and clean. Property owner is very responsive and accommodating. Just a few blocks to the beach, and the apartment has beach chairs. Nice pool on the premises. No negatives to point out. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We have spent Christmas in Lauderdale by the Sea for more than 20 years, staying in an oceanside hotel. This was our first visit to Jim's condo, and we can't wait to come back. The location is fantastic: 3 blocks to the beach, less than 2 blocks to the Publix grocery store, 4 or 5 blocks to the heart of LBTS, a fantastic seaside town where you never need a car. There are so many details that Jim has thought of for his guests: large rooms with plenty of storage space for all of your clothing, luggage and gadgets; comfy queen-size beds; plenty of beach towels, chairs, and beach toys; more than enough linens and towels to get you through your stay; 3 TVs; a shelf of books; excellent internet; all sorts of cookware and dishware and, most importantly, a dishwasher. The best part was that there are only 8 units in the building, so we often enjoyed our breakfast and lunch alone poolside. Even when there were other guests at the pool, there were plenty of chairs and lounges. The heated pool was also a great alternative when it was too windy for the beach. The condo has plenty of information for first-time visitors, but here are a few of our favorites: 101 Ocean (happy hour and dinner); Tacocraft (Taco Tuesday is a great deal); and LaSpada's for the "best damn hoagies in town" (their slogan for 50 years, and they aren't kidding!).
The owner and property manager were both very helpful. This place had everything you could need for a vacation. The pool was great! It's a very short walk to the ocean and downtown. If we decide to come back here for another vacation this will be the place we will book again.
This place was perfect for me and my 4 girl friends! It was really close to the beach and Publix, and a few restaurants were within walking distance. This area (Lauderdale by the Sea) is definitely more for families, so if you are planning to go out on the town, be prepared to Uber somewhere (~10mins) or hang with some of the residents of the area. We loved chilling at the pool after hitting the beach for the day and I cannot be more thankful that the host allowed us to check in early! Very accommodating and he gave great suggestions for things to do. Highly recommend the place for a quaint beach trip :)
Also it’s not listed, but a few beach chairs/umbrellas and pool items are provided which is definitely a plus.
After living in Florida for several years, it was great to come back for a visit. Everything that I needed to make my stay comfortable was available by the host. Clean towels, great a.c. and enough room to enjoy dinner with my family. Publix grocery store, beach and restaurants were in walking distance from the airbnb. My boys and I had a great time with that home away from home feel while enjoying the beautiful sunshine state. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or family member, who would like to enjoy a quick fun and relaxing get away, without breaking the bank.
We loved our stay at Sandy by the Sea over this winter break. The home was nicely kept with clean towels, beach furniture, and umbrellas for us to use. This was a spacious apartment which comfortably fit 5 people. There were two bedrooms, along with two patios and a private entrance to second bedroom. The apartment is located within a 5 minute walk to the beachieved and next to convenient shops such as Publix, CVS, and Dollar Store. We were also able to walk within 10 minutes to the beautiful downtown area and celebrate New Year on the beach. Near the apartment, there were well maintained tennis and bocce ball courts. The apartment also had plenty of parking spaces in a lot and street parking available. Definitely recommended for a family getaway.
Really nice place, very clean, very quite, very close to everything. 2 min. walk to small mall with Publix, pharmacies and liquor store and many more. 4 min. walk to beach and a 10 min. walk to the main street, where there’s restaurants, souvenir stores, board walk and much much more. Really nice! Definitely going to stay at the same place for my next vacation. Nice people to deal with, thanks Jim. And did I mention it’s a really nice place!!

Thanks Jim for a fantastic vacation. The location of the Villa was ideal for our family as it put everything within complete walking distance. The villa was immaculately clean and provided all the amenities we could have needed for the week we stayed in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The pool was clean and refreshing and the property manager did an excellent job of maintaining things. We will definitely be back for another stay! Thanks again for a great vacation!

Actually my dad stayed there for a few months upon his move back to Florida from Nevada. Not a typical vacation stay but certainly a great place for anyone to stay.
Easy to walk around to the store and local restaurants, walk to the beach, everything within a few blocks.
Nice quiet property with a pool and outside terrace.
Would recommend for anyone.
The Sandy by the Sea condo was perfect for our family of three over the Christmas holiday. The place is as it is described, very comfortable. The complex was quiet over the holiday and we had the pool pretty much to ourselves as a place to sit, read and have coffee in the morning. It was close to the beach, shopping and a great breakfast place. We would stay here again the next time we head south!
Everything about this condo is great. Kitchen is fully equipped, rooms are neat, furniture is comfortable. This is my tenth year staying here and will definitely be coming back!
First time we have stayed at this condo. Wonderful! Everything we could have asked for! We met a nice couple who rent here every winter and can?t wait to see them again as we?ve already booked again for next January. Host Jim is great and accommodating. Location is perfect.

This was my first time in Ft Lauderdale also Lauderdale by the Sea, my experience was great. The condo was stocked with everything my family needed from the kitchen to the bathroom to the beach. Would definitely book with this owner again.
We love LBTS for many years, it belongs to our favourite locations and Sandy By The Sea is our favourite place to stay. Our 6yr old daughter calls it "our beach house", LOL! :)
It never disappoints, the property is always clean, well maintained, we never experienced any issues, plus the property manager and owner are easy to contact and always ready to help!

We are 2 couples that stayed Oct 4-Oct 7 at this property. The unit was very clean and the kitchen very well stocked. Location was close (easy walking distance for seniors in their 60's) to the beach, Publix and shopping. We went to an excellent breakfast restaurant First Watch located at the end of the street around the corner from Publix. We enjoyed the pool. Our only criticism are the bed pillows but that could be a personal preference. Also- the closet with beach stuff was a little scary, so full of that we opened and closed it quickly! Donna C.

A couple small issues with electrical were handled quickly and efficiently. He always stays in touch and is easy to get a hold of. The condo is perfect, roomy, clean and close to everything.
